First of all let me get something straight. This is a JOURNAL not a diary. I know what the name of this blog is but when Mom made me this thing I SPECIFICALLY told her to pick a title without the word “diary” in it. Great. Now all I need is for some kid to catch me looking at this website and get the wrong idea.

Fright Fest and Pirates of Emerson 2012

In 2011 Six Flags Discovery Kingdom finally realized that California's Great America's Halloween Haunt was making them look stupid. So they redid their Halloween event, Fright Fest. This year I got to experience The Last Ride. Imagine your bed being outfitted with a motion platform and you get the idea. Circus Bezerkus let me down, with very few scare actors. Massacre Mine, on the other hand, was a whole lot of fun. The 70s dolphin show, Club Cetacean, and the closing show, Final Freakout were interesting. The awakening was back, and i'll upload a video of it soon. The Spoofy Sea Lion show was an improvement over last year. Here are some photos.

Of course the houses of last year returned.

We also went to the Pirates of Emerson as well. In addition to the Pirates themselves there was also Arachno, Scareaton, Dark Realm, and Fractured Fairytales. They also had the Mental Maze, Corn Walk, and the Bumpkin Patch.

That's all for now. Happy Halloween Everybody! Bwahahaha!

Halloween Haunt 2012

I went to Halloween Haunt on opening night and had an absolute blast. I'm also proud to announce my very first video. It's of the opening show, the Overlord's Resurrection. Here's the link:

Here are some photos from the event.

 Behold the Overlord!
Slaughterhouse Annihilation was fun as usual. Those are my parents, BTW!
Toy Factory is one of my favorites.
Madame Marie's Massacre Manor may be the best Haunt attraction yet.
The Loggers Run was Black Widow's Cavern as usual. And yes, we rode it!
I promise to be providing coverage of this ride next year!
I did every haunted attraction here and I must say this was impressive for opening night!

Sunday at Santa Cruz

This past Sunday I went to Santa Cruz! Unfortunately, the boardwalk was so crowded we had time for only 5 rides: Haunted Castle, Giant Dipper, Ghost Blasters, Cave Train Adventure, and Hurricane. The Hurricane will close on September 3rd, so my ride on sunday may very well be my last ride. Here are some photos.
 Me on Cave Train!
 Time for my last ride!

Discovery Kingdom-Superman

Yes, our day at Discovery Kingdom started out cold, which is why I'm wearing this jacket. My mom and I went to the Oasis Plaza area of the park....
....to check out Sky Screamer! This was the second time I rode it, but mom's first!
Later on, we went to the new Superman: Ultimate Flight. I was intimidated by its size....
....but after hanging out in a phone booth, I decided to ride it. IT WAS AWESOME! WAY BETTER THAN MEDUSA! And that is saying a lot. Not only is it a worthy replacement for Pandemonium, it's the best roller coaster in Northern California! Way to go, Six Flags! Six Flags is the company that owns Discovery Kingdom and Magic Mountain. Another new thing that we did was the wildlife show, which is the park's most "hidden" gem.
Be sure to check out this show as well as Superman! Until then, Ben Out!

Santa Cruz and Discovery Kingdom 2

It's been a crazy summer, but I went to some theme parks already. Before we went to Hawaii, we went to Santa Cruz and Discovery Kingdom. Here are some photos from them:
 Double Shot
 Pirate Ship
 Cave Train
Ghost Blasters entrance. It took the park a while to fix this ride and we did get to go on it.
The aftermath of Logger's Revenge
 Riding solo on the Ark
Superman: Ultimate Flight (which is now open)
 Odin's Temple of the Tiger
 Wave Jumper
 Wave Swinger
Shouka!
While in Hawaii, we went to a fun water park called Wet N Wild. It had rides like the Tornado, Flyin' Hawaiian (which we did twice), and Surf Rider (We also did that one twice). The highlight was when mom dropped on the Tornado BACKWARDS!
When we got back we went to the Alameda County Fair. The bad news is I don't have any pictures of it. The good news is we're going to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom next wednesday, where I may try out Superman Ultimate Flight! Until then, Ben out!

Santa Cruz and Discovery Kingdom

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCK! That's what I felt when I returned to Santa Cruz with my back strong enough to handle the coasters. Here's what it was like on that memorable day.

Oh, sorry I can't seem to find photos of Santa Cruz. What a shame. However, here are some photos from Discovery Kingdom, including a ride on a new favorite of mine, Sky Screamer!
Sky Screamer!
Cut it out, David Kong!
Voodoo
Medusa- That's what I'm talking about!
Me with the Amazon Princess herself!
David goes nuts on the Ark!
That's all I've got for now! Be sure to check back after Spring Break!
